Frequently Asked Questions

How does batch compression work?

Upload as many images as you need. All images are processed sequentially in your browser to keep the UI responsive, then you can download them individually or all at once as a ZIP archive.

What quality setting should I use?

For photos, 70-80% quality gives excellent results with 60-80% file size reduction. For sharp graphics or text, try 85-95%.

Can I convert images to WebP format?

Yes. Select WebP as the output format for significantly smaller files. WebP is supported in all modern browsers. The tool auto-detects if your browser supports WebP export.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. All compression runs entirely in your browser using Canvas API. Your images never leave your device.

What if the compressed file is larger than the original?

Some already-optimized images may not compress further. When this happens, the tool shows an "Already optimized" message and you can keep the original.
