About Quickr
Quickr is a collection of 20+ free, browser-based tools for freelancers, solo makers, and anyone who values their privacy. Every tool runs entirely in your browser — your files are never uploaded to a server.
The project is built and maintained by FreX, a solo dev studio focused on building privacy-first software. Quickr launched in March 2026 with a simple idea: the tools people use every day shouldn't require accounts, subscriptions, or handing over personal data.
Why Quickr exists
Most free online tools follow the same pattern: upload your file to a server, wait, then download the result — after creating an account or watching an ad. Your data passes through infrastructure you don't control, and you have no idea what happens to it.
Quickr takes a different approach. Modern browsers are powerful enough to handle image compression, PDF generation, invoice creation, and more — without ever contacting a server. So that's what we do. Zero uploads. Zero accounts. Zero tracking.
Our principles
Privacy by default
Your data stays on your device. We don't collect, store, or transmit your files. Not even anonymized versions.
Free, no strings
Every tool is free. No paywalls, no feature gates, no "upgrade to pro" upsells. If it's on Quickr, it's free.
No accounts
You don't need to sign up, verify your email, or remember a password. Open the tool, use it, done.
Works offline
Quickr is a PWA with a service worker. Once loaded, most tools work without an internet connection.
The tools
Quickr includes tools across five categories: business and freelance (invoices, contracts, proposals, tax calculator), documents and writing (resume builder, PDF tools, markdown editor), design and media (image compressor, background remover, screenshot beautifier), developer tools (QR codes, meta tag debugger, password generator), and personal finance (debt calculator, subscription tracker).
New tools are added regularly. If you have a suggestion, reach out on Twitter/X.
Support Quickr
Quickr is free and doesn't run ads. If a tool saved you time, consider buying the team a coffee. It helps keep the project alive and ad-free.
